Finally, this effort is feeling conclusive, which I hoped for from the outset 2+ yrs ago. With the discovery of the socialist emergence from the "Jewish settlements in the Pale," the pure negativity of academic oligarchy the possibility of scientific rehabilitation in an aboriginal context. Cultural "fleshing" will continue with reprints of currently-relevant recently-historical experiences, often gangster, while "the Pale" experience is solidified upto present revolutionary efforts. The hope is to create a hinge with which to restore revolution as evolution after the excessively long period of oligarchic occupation -since 500BC.

Then, probably, the entire blog will be consolidated and "put to rest" with the first wikified writing about the occupy dialectic two years ago.

Occupy myself: the secret agenda

My undergrad education was a mentored mix of sociology, psychology, and information technology (formerly my bread and butter) that eventually fused into evolutionary concepts that formed into my first, and introductory, writing on empathy: Spiritual Darwinism. I wrote this with the help of discussion groups on the Care2.com pro-animal and social activist community. Following that, I developed the Empathy Model wiki as an exploratory approach to understanding how humanity evolved into a highly responsible species and to show where and how, and most important, why, that responsibility fails. This was deliberately done as a clean room model, with material derived from the environment and popular conception, and not from established, and especially didactic sources. An important concept to abstract thought is the "layered" idea that shows how human activity and thought simultaneously strike on different levels. It was inspired by the Internet Protocol stack that abstracts the simultaneous actions of computers, networks, with computer users.

When I eventually pursued psychology as a masters degree, I found little in common between the Empathy Model learning and conceptions promoted by the psychological establishment. The few commonalities are not integrated into mainstream thought, let alone structured to show interrelation. Digital VS analog thinking, Lewin's spatial concepts, and self-concepts such as esteem and efficacy are a few ideas defined empirically, as is emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence, however is replaced with empathy logic which links the philosophies of all peoples is their very original developments with types of thinking all well-self-actualized people normally use and share every day. It is distinct from rational thinking that (in the West) descends from ancient Roman mathematical term ratio, and implies a business-type logic (devoid of psychological and social meaning), and is associated (in the Empathy Model) with cruelty of excessive exploitation. Rational thinking, of course, defines European thinking, and hence defines the conflict with original, or Aboriginal, thinking. Rational thinking's domiance over science as empiricism may explain the incompatibility of the empathy model with mainstream psychology. Mainstream psychology is alternately based on Plato's philosophy (carefully preserved and adapted by academia) and experimental behaviorism (which has evolved into a process of using actuarial statistics to create evidence-based treatment). The empathy model extends Rogerian experiential thought (along synergy and constructivism) but includes a down-side, which is that highly-evolved empathic neurology that is only found in a few species (but often along different evolutionary branches) has been in decay as rational thinking has increased. The "stack" is impleneted here to show that the "business logic" of capital requires that the social responsibility, or morality (that has evolved from Darwn's natural affection) must be halted through the genetic (or other) removal of empathic neural constructs. This is not limited to capital, as any cruel activity, such as hunting, requires limited neural activity to prevent "feeling" the emotional effects of one's actions. Lewis Mumford describes in Technics and Civilization the relationship between two distinct levels of society: the exploitative elite and wandering hunting bands. He describes them forming together modern combative nation states.

Occupy homelessness in Asheville NC

When is Occupy Wall Street going to promote a day called Occupy in support of the Homeless ?? Stop criminalizing homeless people and fight for freedom to put up tents and end arrests for asking for money on city streets, hitchhiking, sleeping on city streets etc. etc.

  • You like this.

    • John Bessa my thought is that I expected occupy to vaporize after the camps got too cold, basically -- but it has been the only mass mobilization since Vietnam, and I can see why people want to hang on to it, and others want to pervert it

    • John Bessa my real interest is how it is getting perverted -- those exact mechanics -- because I believe that every single revolution has been betrayed -- or perverted (as I now think)

Occupy insanity:

Pro-police DC "pacifists" (led by Chris Hedges) VS. black bloc militants of NYC & Greece -- Occupy Wall Street oligarchy embraces Hedges -- original Wall Street occupiers balk, and some walk.

My take is that the Hedges is simply another version of the same old problem that links left and right working together to destroy the American working class for the benefit of cheap plastic products, and dominant oligarchies of China (Mandarin) and India (upper-caste Hindus). Perhaps the Black Bloc is right to target Hedges, I would probably do the same, but for different reasons.

I personally have a big problem with Chris Hedges being an official signer of the Stop the Repression of Occupy Wall Street. Personally I think he is helping the police and the state not to mention publicizing and exploting the divisions created among the various occupiers over tactics. Putting his name on this sends a message that OWS officially supports his position and divides us more. When one element in Chicago [Hedges supporters] starts turning in or fighting other elements [Black Bloc] we will see that this was a huge mistake. Comments ????

    • John Bessa Hah! So should I invite the black bloc? Because I bet they will come -- they are, almost by definition, marginalized and will accept any "port in a storm"

    • Feral Sage
Because this page is supposed to be devoted to critical inquiry, I have to refute the statement that Black Bloc "are, almost by definition, marginalized and will accept any 'port in a storm'." In the first place, there is no such thing as "...See More

Occupy "math" with Lawrence Rockwood

Note: Rockwood turned out to be quite the dialectician in the end, accusing me of deconstructing the dialectic using dialectics.  He eventually blocked me on FB.

Lawrence Rockwood: Lets face it. Most of the 99% are part of the 20% of the earth's population that consumes 70% of the earth's resources. The 99% only makes sense in the context of unjust borders.

John Bessa: Actually, that math is too simple. There is another factor, which is that human population growth is guaranteeing consumption of the planet, and that the first world is actually declining as first world women only have 1.8 children. Haiti, for instance, has something like 10 children per woman, because the Haitian strategy is to attempt to get one kid to the US to support mom and dad in their old age. Then there is the concept of alienation, which is existential, and shows that industrialization destroys the meaning of life, so that the consumption is for nothing--except for the very top elite that does not have a concept of meaning.

What I am saying is that much of the third world is fueling the top percent of the first world, and that the first world middle class would probably become Buddhist-like if they could.

This why all you have to do is support the working class , as is tradition -- forget the percentages unless you want to "occupy DNA"

Occupy PeTA:

This tremendous thread started by Bibi Buchanan really gets to the heart of the PeTA sitiaton, which is that PeTA kills nearly every animal that comes to its shelters with on opportunity of adoption.

I have a friend (on FB) who is a PeTA spokes model, and I just cannot bring myself to attempt to bring her around; it will fail and I will lose a friend. Nonetheless, with retrospect, PeTA is Dialectic and didactic in the extreme, and thus cannot be an organization of animal-lovers because affection runs in a completely different  evolutionary vein.

Unfortunately the thread was lost as I attempted to paste it here directly from FB.

Arguably, the most people know about PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is that its members occasionally parade in the nude (or near nude) on the theme “we’d rather go naked than wear furs.”

Occupy Monsanto: This is the first "critical inquiry"

Occupy Monsanto is pushing misinformation about Monsanto, for whatever reason. This weakens the case against Monsanto -- These kinds of internal problems are why I started this group. Every single change movement has had them, and these problems are why things stay the same and why the majority is afraid of change. For the 99% to come on board (really ~70%), the movement has to be completely honest, which means the liars need to get booted.

    • John Bessa might need a visit from occupy critical inquiry ... despite stratagems to the contrary, we don't need misinformation

    • John Bessa Ok, the data supports one problem on one farm, not 40 diseases, they glue that on later. It wasn't GMO (roundup ready) but the herbicide itself, which, as an herbicide, kills plants (duh).

    • Paul Dene Simon you hockin' monsanto John? I believe : that as guardians of western hemisphere, we should leave creation keep its secrets now & then.

    • John Bessa
that is an insult -- you are saying that because I oppose misinformation (propaganda that will dilute the movement) that I am on the other team -- from recent experiences I can tell you without the remotest doubt that occupy has devolved into the European "mandarin" existential movement that spawned communism, the worst thing that happened to local Eurasian/African culture, with the possible exception of deBeers diamonds. Occupy is Plato's "when all kings are [oligarchic] philosophers" -- you can never underestimate European colonial tendencies

    • John Bessa
I have always known that the goal is not to defeat, but "flip" the enemy, which is the zen "art of war" -- to do this you have to be honest with them -- what I learned (that is new) just a couple years ago, is that "modern" thought, or "reason" otherwise called rational or enlightened thought, is based on the latin "ratio" -- in contrast, the indigenous or aboriginal thought is based on "sense" which is an emphatic (or emotional) relationship with the environment (sun, moon, water, land, animals, plants etc) -- we use sensible and rational interchangeably even thought sense represents human evolution, and reason represents the descent into rationalized cruelty for profit -- as Heinlein said "[modern] man is not a rational animal, but a rationalizing animal" -- See, not all us Euros are oligarchs ;) With "reason," motions are "rationally reduced with simplistic math (you get less, I get more) -- ironically, despite being named for the roman ratio, these human robots have no sense of proportion -- this simplistic math is best called "actuarial" or the math of insurance companies, who control the only commodity that we cannot provide for ourselves: medicine (the others are shelter, nice clothes, art, music, fun, and social organization)

    • John Bessa thanks for asking

Oligarchy as a phenomena

Oligarchy is a phenomena that exists throughout the World and through time. In the West it was created as the "Academy" by Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, and forms the backbone of capital as Plato's Republic. In Asia, it was similar as Confucius' similar school that introduced "high stakes exams" early on. Oligarchy is the opposite of democracy, especially as it was defined 2500 years ago in ancient Greece, how it affected how ancient Rome defined the capital structure that defines Western life today, and especially how the structure is reinforced and regulated: academic education.

Within every change movement is the oligarchic element that the movement is attempting to change: someone successfully achieving control (often by silencing others) and hence defeating democracy by replacing it with oligarchy.

This group seeks to apply critical inquiry to the occupy movement to show where the oligarchy is lurking. Oligarchy has "markers:" obsessive behaviors, tendency to dominance, cold mathematical "rationally reduced" approaches.

Knowing the history of rebellion, there is no doubt that this group will be censured everywhere--none whatsoever--and that, I suppose will be the most important marker.
